Prizes ranging from $300 to $1,500 to USA, Canada, and International groups of two to three students ages 13-24 to come up with innovative solutions to business challenges and global issues, as identified by the United Nations. Groups must brainstorm and write a one-minute commercial storyboard and script describing their solution.
This year students are being asked to put on their creative thinking caps to help solve 21st Century business challenges, as well as Global Goals that the United Nations has identified. Students are encouraged to think outside the box and aim to provide new solutions to the challenges presented.
The Innovation Challenges in this year’s World Series of Innovation will center on four Sustainable Development Goals:
- Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
- Goal 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy
- Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
- Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
