THEY HAVE DEVELOPED A WEB-SITE, FARM MAP AND A " COUNTY-NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAIN GROWN" LABEL AND LOGO TO IDENTIFY FARM PRODUCTS BEING MARKETED UNDER THIS PROJECT. THE PROJECT HAS HIGHLIGHTED 37 FARMS AND 28 RESTAURANTS AFFILIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM.

DISTRIBUTES AND NONFOOD ITEMS EVERY SATURDAY OF THE YEAR TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES ACCORDING TO THEIR ASSERTION OF NEED, WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION AND PER THE GUIDELINES OF MANNA BANK (A NOT-FOR-PROFIT SERVICE ORGANIZATION) AND PER UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE REGULATIONS FOR THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND THE EMERCENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

Feeding nutritious food to those in need while supporting local farms and producers. We aim to complete the circle between farmers, culinary professionals and the food-insecure individuals in our community.

To rescue animals from situations that are abusive, endangering and neglectful, which includes livestock auctions, equine kill pens, animal shelters, unclaimed strays, owner surrenders in dire situations and irresponsible breeders; To inform the public of these situations in order to put a stop to animal abuse and irresponsible breeding; To provide foster homes and/or sanctuary for these animals; To provide necessary veterinary care; To promote the importance of spaying/neutering and assist others with referrals to low cost spay/neuter programs; To place rescued animals into permanent adoptive homes; and To build and maintain a network of other rescue groups for rescued animals.

This program provides community-based services to meet the daily living, recreational, and educational needs of persons with developmental disabilities. Opportunities available for eligible individuals through include developmental therapy, employment training, day activities, organic farming, and craft production. In the spring of 2013, services were expanded to include a bakery and local catering service to bring in additional revenue to support services provided.
