Award to a USA, Canada, or International individual to recognize outstanding contributions to communication sciences. The purpose of this program is to honor an individual who has enhanced the quality of clinical care in speech-language pathology and/or audiology. The lifetime contribution may have been in clinical service, supervision or administration of clinical service, clinical research, or any other activity that has promoted clinical excellence. The Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award recognizes an individual’s outstanding contributions to communication sciences and disorders over a period of at least 20 years.

Funding is intended to assist cancer survivors in building their families through adoption, fertility treatments, or surrogacy. Applicants must have a clear plan of action before applying.

Contracts for services to North Carolina firms to provide tree assessment in eligible locations. The chosen contractor will demonstrate expertise and experience in providing cost-effective and timely services. The contracted services consist of basic and advanced tree assessments on trees in public areas. Services will be conducted in the City of Charlotte.

Funding is intended for projects to help understand the impact that AI has already had and continues to have on the scientific research landscape.

Funding is intended to support the digital reformatting of media that is fragile, obsolete, time-based, and of scholarly value. Preservation services must be performed by qualified external service providers.

Grants of up to $15,000 to North Carolina nonprofit organizations, public schools, institutions of higher education, and faith-based entities for programs that benefit the Black community in eligible regions. Funding is intended for projects that address racial disparities in the local education system. The goal of the grant program is to ensure that students of color, especially Black students, can learn in a supportive environment that respects their humanity, upholds their dignity, and provides them with the space to learn, grow, and thrive. Eligible programs benefit the Black and brown communities in Forsyth County.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in multiple states for youth and sports-related programs. Funding is intended to support youth development activities and enhance participation in winter sports programs. Funds may be used to develop new programs or to expand or maintain existing programs. Funds must serve states in the Northeast and SARA regions: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Grants to USA and territories IHEs, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and agencies for behavioral health programming in rural communities. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for a variety of programs that will improve rural behavioral health care.

Opportunity for USA early-career public health leaders to participate in an accelerator to improve their leadership skills and capacity. This program is meant to prepare emerging leaders to take on managerial and executive roles in the public health workforce, and to have the skills to recruit and train the necessary future workforce.

Fellowships to USA researchers, authors, historians, graduate students, and journalists to conduct research on women's history. Funding is intended to cover the time and travel costs involved in conducting and publishing research. The fellowships will include financial support, research training, and in-person research opportunities at the National Archives.

The program is offered to adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who are not in school and are interested in dedicating two years to pursuing climate change solutions.

Funding is intended for the development of technological solutions to monitor and protect undersea critical infrastructure.

Scholarship for USA library school students to attend a conference. The scholarship is intended for students currently attending a qualified information studies degree-granting program and for new professionals. The awardee will also receive a membership to a professional association. Funding will provide for conference registration, transportation, housing, and a stipend.

Grants of up to $5,000 to North Carolina nonprofit organizations and institutions for programs to improve the lives and well-being of residents in eligible regions. Focus areas include education, financial assistance, medical care, domestic violence, children's orphanages and homes, church support, and retirement homes. Grants are only made to institutions, organizations, or projects primarily located or domiciled in Cherokee County or Clay County.

In-kind donations of books to USA, Canada, and International youth-serving agencies and institutions to encourage reading among children and youth. The program is intended to provide books produced by African American authors and illustrators to build organizational libraries and bring books into the lives of children.
